Road Conditions Affected by Frost and Landslides in Cyprus

Several roads in Cyprus are either closed or open only to four-wheel drive vehicles or those equipped with anti-slip chains due to frost and landslides. The Prodromou-Troodos road is currently open only to such vehicles. Furthermore, landslides have been reported on various roads in the mountainous region, including Kalopanayiotis – Moutoulla – Pedoula, Kakopetria – Karvounas, and others. Other roads, while open to all vehicles, are slippery due to light snowfall or frost, such as Platron – Troodos and Prodromou-Lemithou. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution and check road conditions before traveling.
