Volt Announces Candidate List for 2026 Parliamentary Elections

The Political Council of the Volt party has announced the proposed ballot for the 2026 Parliamentary Elections, including 56 candidates, among them Alexandra Attalidou and Makarios Drousiotis. The ballot consists of citizens from different backgrounds - scientists, entrepreneurs and the new generation - and aims to strengthen Democracy, transparency and the effectiveness of Parliament. The average age of the candidates is 48.8 years, with 41.1% being women. The selection of candidates was based on collective responsibility and substantial representation. The party emphasizes the need for accountability of MPs and the empowerment of women's voices in politics. Volt seeks to offer a ballot of responsibility, beyond protest, and contribute to a serious political presence. The final approval of the ballot will be made by the party members through an online vote on February 26, 2026. This process highlights the democratic functioning of the party and the participation of its members in decisions. Volt believes that in a period of distrust in politics, submitting a ballot of responsibility is essential. The party seeks to offer citizens an alternative based on accountability, transparency and effectiveness.
