Air France-KLM Increase Long-Haul Ticket Prices Due to Fuel Costs

Air France-KLM announced that it is raising prices on long-haul tickets due to rising fuel costs, which have been caused by the geopolitical situation in the Middle East and specifically by the war in Iran. The price increase applies to tickets issued from March 11, 2026. Specifically, the price of round-trip tickets in economy class will increase by 50 euros. Air France-KLM is following the example of other airlines, such as SAS, Cathay Pacific, Air India and Qantas, which have also raised their ticket prices due to rising fuel costs. The increase in fuel prices has a significant impact on the airline industry, as fuel is a significant part of the operating costs of airlines. This increase is expected to affect passengers as well, as it will lead to more expensive travel.
