Private Contributions to 'Alma' Movement: Limit of €25,000 per Individual, Bank Transfers Only

The 'Alma' movement has published a list of private contributions it has received, as part of an effort to ensure transparency and integrity. According to 'Alma', it aims to be funded by many small donors rather than a few large ones, setting a contribution limit of €25,000 per individual or group of companies annually. Contributions are made exclusively via bank transfer and are not accepted from individuals with tax debts, criminal convictions, or involvement in licensed betting/casino companies. All contributions over €500 are published on the 'Alma' website, while smaller contributions are recorded and audited by the Auditor General. 'Alma' emphasizes that this policy is stricter than Cypriot law, which allows for larger contributions from individuals and companies. The publication of contributions aims to ensure the movement's independence from large economic interests. To financially support 'Alma', individuals can send a message to [email protected], stating their name, Cypriot ID number, and district of residence. 'Alma' will then contact them to provide its bank details. The movement calls on citizens to contribute to building a participatory, modern, and independent party free from economic influence.
