According to preliminary data from the Statistical Service of Cyprus, average gross monthly earnings of employees increased by 4.3% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of 2024, reaching €2,452. A 0.7% increase was also observed compared to the second quarter of 2025. Men's earnings increased by 3.8% to €2,622, while women's earnings increased by 4.9% to €2,238. The distribution of earnings shows that 41.3% of men earn between €1,500 and €2,999, while 40.5% of women earn less than €1,500. Regarding nationality, 43.9% of Cypriot employees fall into the €1,500-€2,999 earnings category, while 49.1% of non-Cypriot employees fall into the under €1,500 category. In the highest earnings category (≥€6,000), 3.8% of Cypriot employees and 7.6% of non-Cypriot employees are classified. This suggests a greater concentration of higher earnings among non-Cypriot employees.
