Golden Dawn Trial: Appeals Court Upholds Convictions, Lengthy Sentences

The Appeals Court has upheld the sentences handed down in the first instance to members of the Golden Dawn leadership. Nikos Michaloliakos and other key figures were sentenced to 13 years in prison for leading a criminal organization. George Roupakias, the murderer of Pavlos Fyssas, remains sentenced to life imprisonment. Eleni Zaroulia may also be imprisoned. The decision marks the end of a long legal battle and the conviction of a criminal organization that operated in Greece for many years.
