The suspect in the attempted murder of a 31-year-old man in Larnaca has been located and "arrested" in Northern Cyprus, in the Morphou region. The arrest was carried out by the occupation authorities following coordinated efforts through the bicommunal committee. The suspect was handed over to the Larnaca TAE and is in custody. Furthermore, the suspect's vehicle was found abandoned in a village in the Famagusta province. He is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court for the issuance of a detention order. The case concerns an attack that took place last Friday, where the 31-year-old was seriously injured in the abdomen. Police investigations revealed that the perpetrator stabbed the victim near the staircase of an apartment building. In the perpetrator's apartment, crystal substance, traces of cannabis, syringes, and €300 were found, which were seized by the YKAN. No blood traces were found in the apartment. The police are investigating the circumstances of the attack and the motives of the perpetrator. The arrest of the suspect is a significant step in solving the case and bringing justice.
