Cyprus Taxi Drivers Launch 24-Hour Strike Over Legality Concerns

Taxi drivers in Cyprus have launched a 24-hour strike, protesting the lack of legality in the industry. The Pan-Cypriot Confederation of Urban Taxi Drivers (POAT) states that all possibilities for dialogue have been exhausted and there has been no response to their demands. Taxi drivers at Larnaca Airport have already gathered, and the strike now has pan-Cypriot dimensions. POAT states that they will not back down and will continue their mobilization until legality and justice are achieved in the industry.
