Lufthansa Strike: Nearly 800 Flights Canceled in Germany

Nearly 800 Lufthansa flights were canceled in Germany on Thursday, affecting approximately 100,000 passengers, due to a 24-hour strike by pilots and cabin crew. The strike was caused by disagreements regarding pensions and the company's plans to close its CityLine subsidiary. Airports in Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf were particularly affected, while most flights from Munich operated normally. Lufthansa condemned the strike and is trying to limit the impact on passengers.
