Greek Government Responds to Turkish Minister's Remarks on Upcoming Meeting

The Greek government responded to statements made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan regarding the upcoming meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Fidan had mentioned Turkey's desire to resolve the Aegean issue. Athens confirmed that joint dates are being sought for the High-Level Cooperation Council, possibly in February, and that an official announcement will be made once the date is finalized. Government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis emphasized that the only difference with Turkey is the delimitation of the EEZ and continental shelf based on International Law, and expressed hope for discussion and finding solutions to other important issues.
