OSAK Opposes OCYPY's Request to Postpone Discussion on National Ambulance Authority

OSAK (Cyprus Patients Association Federation) expresses strong opposition to the OCYPY (State Health Services Organization) request to postpone the discussion of the bill for the establishment of the National Ambulance Authority. OSAK believes that this delay undermines the effort to improve emergency and pre-hospital care. It points out that the ambulance service has remained within the OCYPY for many years, despite commitments to create an Independent Ambulance Authority. OSAK supports the creation of the National Ambulance Authority as essential for correcting distortions and addressing problems related to patient transport, while criticizing the OCYPY for the delay in developing plans for the development of the ambulance service.
