Upgraded Chrysopolitissa – New Projects in Nea Paphos and Tombs of the Kings in 2026

The Deputy Ministry of Culture conducted inspections of archaeological sites in Paphos, including Chrysopolitissa, Agia Kyriaki, and the Apostle Paul's Pillar, after the completion of upgrade projects. The works included the reconstruction of pedestrian bridges, the construction of walkways, and the installation of information signs. New projects are planned for 2026 in Nea Paphos and the Tombs of the Kings, with an emphasis on improving access and infrastructure. The Chrysopolitissa archaeological site is part of the archaeological park of Kato Paphos, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The upgrade of the sites is taking place in anticipation of Cyprus's presidency of the Council of the EU.
