ALMA Accuses First Lady of Attempting to Silence Member

The ALMA Movement accuses the First Lady, Philippa Karsera Christodoulidou, of attempting to silence Nicoletta Tsikkini, a member of the Movement's Executive Committee, through legal action. ALMA states that it has been informed of initiatives by the First Lady aimed at restricting Ms. Tsikkini's public posts, describing these actions as a “clear example of authoritarianism.” The Movement links the developments to its criticism of the “black donations” scandal and claims that an attempt is being made to weaken its voice. Andreas Hassapopoulos, referring to the case, warned Ms. Tsikkini to be careful, arguing that practices similar to those previously used by the Anti-Corruption Task Force are continuing. ALMA states that it will continue to criticize and demand transparency and accountability.
