Time Change - March 2026: When Do We Turn Our Clocks Forward?

The time change will take place in Cyprus in 2026, as the European framework for summer and winter time still applies. Despite discussions about potentially abolishing the measure, no relevant decision has been made at European level. Summer time will begin on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, when clocks will be moved forward one hour (to 04:00), while the return to winter time will take place on Sunday, October 25th, 2026 (clocks will be turned back one hour to 03:00). Most mobile phones, computers, and 'smart' watches adjust automatically, provided they are properly configured and connected to the internet. However, analog clocks require manual adjustment. The time change is applied throughout the European Union with the aim of coordinating economic activities. The time change affects sleep, causing jet lag and fatigue. In the autumn we gain an hour of sleep, while in the spring we lose one. The body needs about five days to two weeks to adjust, with a gradual change in sleep schedule and daily habits.
