Navalny Death: Investigation Reveals Poisoning with Poison Dart Frog Toxin

A joint investigation by the governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands, with the participation of France, has revealed that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a highly potent neurotoxin, epibatidine, derived from the poison dart frog of Ecuador. This toxin, 200 times stronger than morphine, is classified as a chemical weapon. Investigators concluded that the use of the toxin could only have been carried out by the government of Vladimir Putin, which had the means, motive, and opportunity to commit this act. UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper explained that the toxin is traditionally used by indigenous tribes in South America for hunting. Navalny's wife, Yulia, expressed her grief and anger over her husband's death, emphasizing that scientific evidence confirms Putin's responsibility. Researchers stressed that the toxin causes asphyxiation and that its use constitutes a barbaric act. German Foreign Minister Johann Wandeful described the toxin as a particularly potent neurotoxic substance.
