Higher Prices for Lenten Table – Increases in Lagana and Seafood

The Lenten table is expected to be more expensive this year, according to the Price Observatory of the Consumer Protection Service. Increases were recorded in the prices of lagana, octopus, squid, and celery, while decreases were observed in the prices of tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, kolumbres, shrimp, and calamari. The increase in celery roots is particularly significant, reaching 52.84%. At the same time, prices vary greatly depending on the point of sale, with significant discrepancies between the minimum and maximum price for the same products. The Consumer Protection Service emphasizes that the Price Observatories provide general information and consumers should do their own market research.
