Iran Ready for Compromises on Nuclear Program if US Discusses Sanctions Relief

Iran has stated it's willing to consider compromises in its nuclear program, provided the United States engages in discussions about lifting economic sanctions. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi stated in an interview that Tehran is open to discussing limitations on its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, but ruled out linking the issue to other matters, such as its missile program. A second round of nuclear talks will take place in Geneva on Tuesday, mediated by Oman, following the resumption of discussions in Oman. The head of Iran’s nuclear program stated the country could agree to dilute its most enriched uranium, provided there is complete lifting of economic sanctions. However, he reiterated that Tehran will not accept zero enrichment, a key obstacle in previous negotiations.
