A weak low-pressure system and successive disturbances will affect Cyprus until Friday, bringing rain, storms, and the possibility of hail. From Thursday, dust is expected to be transported into the atmosphere. Today, the weather will be partly cloudy, with local rains, mainly in the west. Gradually, the phenomena will expand and local rains and isolated thunderstorms with the possibility of hail will occur. In the higher peaks of Troodos, sleet is not ruled out. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, moderate to strong. Tonight, the weather will be temporarily cloudy with isolated rains, mainly in the western half of the island, while in other areas there will be periods of mainly clear weather. In the higher peaks of Troodos, snow or sleet is likely. The temperature will drop to 9 degrees Celsius inland and 2 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains. On Wednesday and Thursday, intermittent local rains and thunderstorms are expected, while on Friday, rain and local thunderstorms will occur in all areas. The temperature will remain at the same levels, slightly above the average climatic values.
