Erhurman: No T/C Approval Needed for Unilateral Measures by G/C Side

T/C leader Tufan Erhurman stated that no approval from the T/C side is required for any unilateral measures taken by the G/C side. This statement was made in response to reports that President Christodoulides intends to take action in the areas of health and the economy to benefit the T/C community. Erhurman referred to previous discussions regarding trade through the Green Line and expressed reservations about President Christodoulides' proposal to waive VAT on goods transferred from the free areas to the occupied territories, considering it unfair and harmful to producers in the occupied areas.
