Erhurman for Discussion with Christodoulides: "Perhaps One of the Most Open and Honest to Date"

Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman described today's meeting with President Christodoulides as one of the most open and honest to date. Both leaders agreed that the meeting was useful and focused on the progress of Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs). They discussed the points where progress has been made and how they can move forward, deciding to instruct their representatives to continue meetings. Erhurman acknowledged some delays in the CBMs and it was agreed that the Greek Cypriot representative would officially inform the Turkish Cypriot representative about the completion of related issues. Additionally, Erhurman had the opportunity to explain in more detail the issue of the four-point methodology. The meeting was overall considered successful and both leaders agreed on a common approach to reporting on progress.
