Employee Gambles Away €34,645 at Betting Shop – Arrested

A 25-year-old betting shop employee in Limassol has been arrested after illegally wagering €34,645 worth of coupons without payment. The incident came to light when the shop owner found the coupons in the trash. The employee is alleged to have made the bets on February 15th and then left the shop, abandoning the coupons. Following a police report, an arrest warrant was issued, and the young man was arrested yesterday. He has been remanded in custody for four days to facilitate investigations. The case is being investigated by the Limassol TAE.
