The Greek Parliament is considering the inclusion of a digital citizenship and social media usage course in schools, aiming to protect students from online harassment, bullying, and illegal use of audiovisual material. MP Fotini Tsiridou has submitted a relevant bill. Simultaneously, discussions are underway to tighten access to social media for children, with examples from countries like Australia and France that have already taken banning measures. French President Emmanuel Macron announced a ban on social media use for children under 15 and a ban on mobile phones in schools from the next academic year, emphasizing the need to protect children from manipulation and ensure the country's digital sovereignty.
