Fire Breaks Out in Catechism Hall in Agios Nikolaos

A fire broke out in a catechism hall in Agios Nikolaos, Limassol, outside the local cemetery. Members of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and immediately began work to extinguish the fire and limit its spread. Initial assessments suggest the fire started during insulation work on the building's roof. The Fire Service remains on standby to deal with any potential rekindling. The Police have cordoned off the area for safety reasons, in order to facilitate the work of the Fire Service and prevent access to the area by the public. The situation is under control, however, the Fire Service remains at the scene until full safety is assured and the investigation into the exact causes of the fire is completed.
