Livadi Akrotiri Closed as a Precaution to Protect Wild Cattle from Foot-and-Mouth Disease

Livadi Akrotiri has been closed to the public as a precaution to protect wild cattle from foot-and-mouth disease. The area is home to rare native cattle, whose presence contributes to the sustainable management of reed beds and the conservation of biodiversity. Access to the orchards in the area is permitted via road M1. The measure was deemed necessary by the Veterinary Services and will remain in effect until further notice.
