Unions Call for Reversal of Redundancies at Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center

The OYYK-SEK and SEVETTYK-PEO Federations express strong protest and concern over the redundancy dismissals at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center (BOC). The unions call on the Presidency and the House of Representatives to intervene to ensure that long-serving employees are not left unemployed. The dismissals were triggered after a donation allowed for the digitization of patient records. The unions had proposed the absorption of employees into other positions, but the BOC Board of Trustees refused. The unions consider it paradoxical that a donation aimed at strengthening the Center resulted in dismissals, without taking into account the humanitarian aspect and the job security of the employees.
