Alma Movement Discloses Contributions Received, Emphasizes Transparency

The Alma Movement has disclosed the contributions it has received since December 2025, as part of its commitment to transparency and independence from large financial interests. Alma chooses a stricter framework than that allowed by Cypriot legislation for political parties, setting a maximum limit for private contributions of €25,000 per year per individual or group of companies. According to its Statute, Alma accepts only bank transactions and does not accept contributions from individuals with tax debts, criminal convictions, licensed betting/casino companies, or foreigners. All contributions over €500 are published on the Movement's website, while smaller contributions are recorded and audited by the Auditor General. The philosophy of Alma is to be supported by small contributions from many citizens, rather than large contributions from a few. The Movement seeks to be accountable only to the citizens and not to donors, thus maintaining its independence and integrity. The disclosure of contributions is part of this effort. Anyone wishing to financially support Alma can contact them via email ([email protected]) and provide the necessary identity and residence details. The Movement will then contact them to provide bank details and further guidance. Alma calls on citizens to contribute to the creation of a participatory, modern and independent party from financial interests.
