Zelensky Expresses Hope for 'Steps Forward' During Cypriot EU Presidency

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that “many steps forward” will be made in Ukraine’s relations with the European Union during Cyprus’s EU Council Presidency. Zelensky visited Cyprus for the first time to attend the official inauguration ceremony of the Presidency. President Christodoulides welcomed Zelensky and expressed his expectation for positive developments, offering Cyprus’s support for a peace agreement. Zelensky thanked for Cyprus’s support, particularly for the humanitarian aid, and assured that he would update Christodoulides on his latest meetings with American and European partners.
