Young People Lost in Troodos Mountains – Fire Department on Alert

Two young people, aged 21 and 23, lost their way on the 'Atalanti' nature trail in Troodos on Monday afternoon. Due to the darkness, they were unable to find a safe route and the Fire Department and EMAK (Emergency Rescue and Response Group) were called to locate them. The alarm was raised around 6:40 PM and rescue teams were mobilized immediately. The area was difficult to navigate due to the time of day and the terrain. After searches, the young people were found safe and sound. Rescuers led them to a safe location. The operation was completed successfully, demonstrating the readiness and effectiveness of the rescue services in Cyprus. The Fire Department and EMAK responded promptly to the call and managed to locate the young people without injury.
