XM Limassol Marathon 2026: 2,814 Runners from 56 Countries Flood Limassol for Cyprus' Largest Sporting Event

The XM Limassol Marathon 2026 is expected to be the largest sporting event in Cyprus, with 2,814 runners from 56 countries already registered. The event, sponsored by XM, has exceeded expectations, with a significant increase in interest from abroad (a 36% increase compared to last year). A total of around 6,000 participants are expected across all categories, including the marathon (42 km), half marathon (21 km), 10 km race, and 5 km race. The event has a social dimension, aiming to raise awareness and support for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Organizers have prepared 17 points with volunteers along the route, creating a festive atmosphere. Despite some cancellations from Israeli runners, the event is expected to be successful and attract thousands of athletes and spectators to the coastal city of Limassol.
