An experienced wingsuit athlete, Brendan Weinstein, has tragically died in an accident at Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. The 32-year-old American fell from a height of 1,086 meters, hitting rocks at a speed of 120 km/h, and died instantly. Weinstein had traveled alone to Cape Town to prepare for the flight and is said to have hidden his equipment from the cable car staff. His fall was witnessed by tourists in the area. Weinstein was one of the leading athletes in the sport, with over 1,600 wingsuit flights, 800 BASE jumps, and 1,000 parachute jumps. The accident occurred just weeks after the birth of his daughter. South African authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
