Significant changes are expected in Cyprus's weather over the next few days, according to the Meteorological Department. A drop in temperature, increased cloud cover, rain, and intermittent thunderstorms are forecast. Snowfall is expected in mountainous areas, while winds will strengthen, reaching very strong to stormy levels, and the sea will become rough. Tonight, the weather will be mainly cloudy with rain starting in the west and north and spreading across the island. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible in the northwest. The temperature will drop to around 9 degrees Celsius inland and on the coasts, and around 1 degree Celsius in the mountains. Tomorrow, the rain and thunderstorms will continue, mainly in the mountains and north in the afternoon. Winds will remain strong, with the possibility of becoming very strong to stormy, and the sea will be rough. The temperature will rise to 15-17 degrees Celsius on the coasts and 6 degrees Celsius in the mountains. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the weather will remain unstable with local showers, possible thunderstorms with hail, and snow in the mountains. The temperature will gradually increase until Sunday and decrease slightly on Monday, generally maintaining average climatic values.
