Wave of Burglaries in Limassol: Police Investigate 40 Cases in 3.5 Months with Loot Exceeding €7 Million

Limassol Police have arrested three Georgian suspects, aged 49, 39, and 48, following an investigation into a series of burglaries in luxury homes and apartments in the Limassol area. The burglaries, totaling approximately 40 incidents in three and a half months, caused damages exceeding €7 million. The suspects are accused of conspiracy, participation in a criminal organization, illegal possession of property, forgery, impersonation, circulation of false documents, and illegal stay in the Republic (for the 49-year-old). During questioning, they refused to provide explanations and exercised their right to remain silent. The investigation began following information and analysis of security camera footage, which revealed the suspects' modus operandi. They were identified monitoring apartment buildings and using a rented car for their activities. Items connected to the burglaries were found in the apartment where the suspects were staying, which they refused to comment on. Police continue the investigation to determine the full extent of their criminal activity and recover the stolen loot.
