Wage Adjustment Upward Through ATA

Automatic Cost of Living Adjustment (ATA) will lead to an upward adjustment of wages in 2026, according to the Federation of Employers and Industrialists. The annual change in the Consumer Price Index, excluding consumption taxes, amounted to 0.13% in 2025, leading to a limited cost of living increase. Based on the agreement of the social partners, 80% of the increase in the Index will be applied to wages, increasing the ATA by 0.10% or to 12.67% on basic wages. In addition, there will be an additional adjustment in July 2026, with the application of an additional 10% of the annual increase, bringing the total coverage rate to 90%. For example, an employee with a salary of €1,500 will receive an additional €1.50 in January and €1.80 in July, while an employee with a basic salary of €1,500 will receive an additional €190.05 in January and €190.50 in July.
