Von der Leyen and Zelensky in Cyprus for Quadripartite Meeting with President

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky have arrived in Cyprus for a quadripartite meeting with the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides. The meeting takes place within the framework of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU and concerns Ukraine. President Christodoulides expressed Cyprus's readiness to cooperate for an autonomous EU, open to the world. In addition, a bilateral meeting with Mr. Costa is expected to coordinate work on European priorities, as well as a meeting with the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, focusing on stability in the Eastern Mediterranean. The inauguration ceremony of the Cypriot Presidency will take place later in the afternoon, with the participation of leaders and representatives from various countries and organizations.
