Veteran Journalist Giorgos Papadakis Passes Away After Heart Attack

Journalist Giorgos Papadakis passed away today at the age of 74, after suffering a heart attack. He was rushed to Laiko Hospital unconscious, where doctors attempted resuscitation but were unable to save his life. Papadakis was renowned for hosting “Καλημέρα Ελλάδα” (Good Morning Greece) for 34 years, making it the longest-running show in Greek television history. He began his career in radio and print journalism, and also worked on other television programs. He is survived by two sons from his marriage to Tina Papadeli and one son from a previous marriage.
