Veteran Greek Journalist Giorgos Papadakis Passes Away

Journalist and presenter Giorgos Papadakis passed away today, Sunday, January 4th, after suffering a heart attack in Kolonaki. Doctors attempted to revive him with CPR, but were unsuccessful. Giorgos Papadakis was born in 1951 in Halandri and had Cretan origins. He began his television career in the 1980s with the show “Three in the Air” on ERT. He is best known for his long-standing presentation of the “Good Morning Greece” show on ANT1 television, which he hosted from 1992 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2025. Between 2011 and 2015, he presented the show “Morning”. His death has caused great sadness in the artistic and journalistic world, and the news has spread rapidly. His long and successful career has left an indelible mark on Greek television.
