US Senate Blocks Resolution New Military Actions in Venezuela

The US Senate voted on Thursday to block a resolution limiting further military actions by the Trump administration in Venezuela, following the raid to arrest President Maduro. The resolution passed with 52 votes in favor and 47 against, with support from five Republicans and all Democrats. This is the first time during Trump's second term that Congress has attempted to restrict the president's use of military force in foreign policy. While the resolution is largely symbolic, it indicates growing concern about the Trump administration's aggressive stance and the possibility of indefinite military involvement.
