US-Iran Talks Resume in Geneva Amidst Critical Issues

A new round of indirect talks between the US and Iran has begun in Geneva, mediated by Oman, with the aim of resolving the dispute over Iran's nuclear program and avoiding further escalation of tensions. The talks focus on trying to break the decades-long impasse, with the US and other Western countries expressing concerns about the possibility of Iran developing nuclear weapons, which Iran denies. The US special envoy and former President Trump's son-in-law are participating in the talks, while Trump has warned of the possibility of military intervention if Iran does not make concessions. Iran states that it is approaching the negotiations with seriousness and flexibility, but insists that the discussion should be limited to the nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions. A significant point of disagreement remains Iran's ballistic missile program.
