US Calls for Restraint in Syria's Aleppo

US Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack stated that the recent clashes between Kurdish and Syrian government forces in Aleppo are “deeply concerning” and jeopardize the March 2025 integration agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Damascus government. Barrack called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, cease hostilities immediately, and return to dialogue.
