US: Border Patrol Agents Fire at Vehicle with Alleged Gang Members

In Portland, Oregon, Border Patrol agents opened fire on a vehicle with alleged members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua after the driver attempted to run them over during a check. The vehicle contained an undocumented Venezuelan immigrant linked to the Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and the driver, who is believed to be a gang member. Both occupants fled after the shooting and were taken to the hospital. The FBI is investigating the incident. This episode comes shortly after the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old woman by an ICE officer in Minneapolis, which has sparked protests.
