Ukraine: Two Dead in Russian Strike Near Kyiv

Two civilians, a man and a woman, were killed and four others injured in a Russian strike near Kyiv, in the Bilokhorodtska community. This attack is part of a series of Russian strikes that took place on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of 12 civilians, including five at a railway station near Kharkiv. The Russian strikes primarily target energy infrastructure, causing significant damage and disruptions to energy supplies. At the same time, the continuation of trilateral talks to end the war is expected in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, February 1st. According to a UN report, 2023 was the deadliest year since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with over 2,500 civilian deaths. In total, since the beginning of the war, the UN has recorded nearly 15,000 civilian deaths and over 40,600 injuries. Russia continues to launch daily air strikes on Ukraine, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and causing increasing concern for the safety of civilians.
