UK and France Bomb ISIS Weapons Cache in Syria

Britain and France have carried out joint airstrikes in Syria, targeting an underground weapons cache believed to belong to the Islamic State (ISIS). The operation aimed to prevent the strengthening of ISIS, which had lost control of its territories in Syria in 2019. Paveway IV guided bombs were used to destroy tunnels leading to the facility. British authorities assured that there were no civilians in the area during the operation. British Defence Secretary John Healey stressed the commitment of the UK and its allies to eradicating ISIS and its ideology.
