Turkish MoD: Troops to Withdraw from Iraq Following NATO Decision

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the withdrawal of Turkish military forces from Iraq, as part of NATO's decision to end the mission in the country. Ankara emphasizes that this move is part of international cooperation and not a unilateral decision. According to the spokesperson of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the withdrawal of personnel from Baghdad has been successfully completed, while Turkey provided support for the evacuation activities of other allied countries. This move is taking place within the framework of NATO's decision to terminate its mission in Iraq. In parallel, the Ministry of Defense announced the signing of a technical and logistical support agreement with the United Kingdom for the Eurofighter Typhoon program, aiming to strengthen Turkey's defense capabilities. The agreement covers the training of pilots and maintenance technicians, as well as the provision of spare parts and equipment. Turkey is committed to continuing to strengthen its defense capabilities and participate in international missions to maintain peace and stability in the region.
