Turkey and UK Sign Deal for Eurofighter Support Amidst Air Force Modernization

Turkey has signed a logistical agreement with the United Kingdom to support its Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, as part of the procurement of 20 aircraft. The agreement, signed by the defense ministers of both countries, concerns the technical and logistical support of the aircraft. This move represents a significant step in strengthening the Turkish Air Force, as its current F-16s will be gradually retired from the 2030s. The decision to acquire Eurofighters came after a failed attempt to cooperate with the United States to modernize the F-16 fleet.
