Trump Raises Tariffs on Certain Imports from South Korea to 25%

President Trump announced a 25% increase in tariffs on certain imports from South Korea, including cars, lumber, and pharmaceutical products. Trump accuses Seoul of failing to implement the trade agreement with the United States. The South Korean government stated that it had no prior notice of the tariff increase and intends to discuss the matter with Washington as soon as possible. The South Korean Minister of Trade is expected to travel to the United States to meet with his American counterpart and discuss the situation.
