Tragedy in the Swiss Alps: One Dead After Cable Car Plunge

A 61-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic accident in the Swiss Alps when a cable car cabin detached and plummeted down a snowy slope. The accident occurred near the Engelberg ski resort, while the cabin was in the middle section of Mount Titlis. Witnesses reported strong winds, which may have contributed to the cabin's detachment. The cable car operation has been suspended, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Approximately 100-200 passengers were safely evacuated from the remaining cabins.
