Tractors Enter No-Man's Land in Avlona - Ceasefire Line Violation Reported

The community leader of Avlona, Menelaos Savva, reports a violation of the ceasefire line by Turkish farmers who entered the No-Man's Land and began cultivating land owned by a Greek Cypriot. According to Mr. Savva, other individuals also went to the scene to ensure the continuation of the cultivation. The United Nations were called, who asked the farmers to leave, but the request was not accepted. The government has been informed, but has not yet given instructions. The community leader recalls that a previous request by Greek Cypriots to cultivate in the same area had been rejected by the United Nations.
