TOM Announces Vehicle Withdrawals from European Market

The Department of Road Transport informs about cars and motorcycles that are being withdrawn from the European market, as announced during the 11th week of 2026 on the EU's rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products (Safety Gate). The Department calls on manufacturers, dealers, distributors, importers and sellers (including those operating online or remotely) who may have made available or have such products on the market in the Republic of Cyprus to inform the Department of Road Transport. The Department notes that, if these products are available in the Republic of Cyprus, the above-mentioned economic operators must take all necessary measures to recall these products as provided for in the relevant legislation. The Department also calls on consumers, if they own the aforementioned cars or motorcycles, to contact the manufacturer or dealer for instructions. Any possession of the vehicles should be checked based on their vehicle registration certificate (slip) and the details included in it (e.g. manufacturing range, type/model number).
