Three House Fires in Less Than 24 Hours

The Fire Service responded to three house fires in less than 24 hours. The first fire occurred in Agios Tychonas, Limassol, resulting in the tragic death of a dog. The second, in Engomi, was caused by a forgotten cooking utensil and damaged the kitchen of an apartment, with smoke affecting other areas. The third fire, in the community of Konia in Paphos, broke out in the wooden roof of a two-story house and appears to be due to the chimney. The residents of the house in Paphos managed to evacuate safely. In total, the Fire Service responded to 43 incidents in the last 24 hours, 25 of which were fires.
