The Seven 'Tomahawk' Principles of Socrates

The article discusses the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates and his teachings on the concept of an educated person. The author points out that Socrates did not record his thoughts in writing, but conveyed them through dialogues, which were recorded by Plato. According to Socrates, an educated person is not one who possesses a lot of knowledge, but one who controls himself and behaves properly towards others. The author presents seven characteristics that define an educated person according to Socrates: control of unpleasant situations, courage and logic, honesty, goodwill, control of pleasures, resilience to misfortune, and indifference to glory. The author expresses the opinion that it is difficult to find such a person in modern times, due to the influence of technology and the lack of conscious alertness.
